Water Washable

Flenex water-washable flexo plate system is new system that provides the highest print quality and productivity, while significantly lowering the cost-in-use compared to thermal, solvent or other water-wash plate technologies.

Flat top dot structure

The rubber-based compound means a 1% flat top dot can be achieved without complex systems to eliminate oxygen, and results in lower dot gain. In addition, better ink transfer produces noticeably cleaner and brighter print results.

High quality print

The Flenex water-washable plate system does far more than simply eliminate the need for solvents and wicking cloths. It delivers longer runs while producing a consistent 175lpi at 4,400 dpi, 1% process dot structure for superb high quality print.

High productivity

Flenex water-washable plates reduce platemaking processing times to less than 40 minutes, 300% faster than leading solvent systems and 1.5 times faster than current thermal and water-wash technologies. Faster platemaking means more time on press and a dramatic increase in output per shift, freeing you to redeploy labour to more value-added activities

Lower cost

Because of the simplicity of Flenex plate processing, the expense of higher-cost solvent and thermal processors as well as potential upcharges on associated consumables is avoided. The Flenex system therefore represents the lowest cost in use for the production of flexo plates.

LUX

LUX ITPTM is MacDermid’s inherently flat-top dot line of flexo plates, the product of a persistent and focused effort to advance flexographic printing. LUX ITP delivers flat-top dots and their proven print benefits to package printing industry. The LUX ITP product line is available in a wide variety of options including hard, medium, and super soft durometer plates.

MAX

MAX is a high performing hard, analog sheet photopolymer. MAX plates work well with a wide variety of substrates and inks. It is designed to deliver the MAXimum print benefit – low dot gain in screen/process colour printing with smooth ink lay down for bold solids. This 60 durometer plate is well suited for applications involving small-diameter cylinders on narrow web presses.

EPIC

EPIC® is a capped photopolymer plate, designed to meet the special needs of high resolution process colour printing. The patented cap technology on all EPIC plates allows printers to achieve high solid ink densities and print fine details at the same time. These plates are well-suited for high quality printing on labels, film, preprint liner, and lined corrugated when litho quality graphics are required.
