Digital Print Products, a division of Flexo Trade Print, recently suffered a major fire resulting in the destruction of its entire line-up of digital printing machinery. Keen to get back up and running, the company has wasted no time in replacing the lost equipment – and the first to respond was SOS.
Ruddocks, a creative production agency in Lincoln, has switched to Cron CTP having just installed a 36H B2 format processless system supplied by SOS. The catalyst for the change came when the company’s previous CTP supplier announced they were ending support for their machine.
Owner Terry Gall says that his new printer/cutter combination brings a new level of productivity to the full range of the company’s output, but especially for its key market in health and safety signage, produced on a range of materials such as plastic, vinyl, foamex, corex, PVC and acrylics.
Plymouth’s PDS Print has installed two brand new machines supplied by SOS. According to Director Gordon Bryan, the investment represents a deeper dive into wide format for the company, which has its roots in litho production.
Newcastle’s Shiremoor Press recently installed a Konica Minolta AccurioPress C7090, supplied by SOS. SOS also conducted a full colour audit to calibrate colour output throughout the company to the Fogra 51 standard, and converted the company’s CTP to processless using Kodak Sonora X plates.
PDQ Printing Services of Morley, Leeds has installed a Gibson GT-F3020 LED-UV flatbed printer, supplied by SOS. The machine is being used for fairground posters, among a range of other signage projects.
MD Chris Goslar explains why Chroma, a full-service printer located near Reading, has taken a significant step into the flatbed printing market and installed a Yotta Fr2513-R5 fllatbed printer and Sinajet DK2513 cutter. Both machines were supplied by SOS.
SOS installed a Cron 36G+ CTP system at Northend, Sheffield. The machine is a thermal device using processless plates, and replaces an ageing UV system as part of a policy to make the company leaner and greener.
