GMG ColorServer: Automated colour conversion that eliminates correction cycles and reprints, and includes tools that make profiling quicker and less resource intensive
As well as bringing efficiencies and reducing material wastage, GMG ColorServer uses GMG’s proprietary MX technology for the highest quality colour separations. Available as either a pay-monthly subscription or perpetual license, GMG ColorServer provides all the tools required for end-to-end colour management, incorporating colour separation, proofing, ink optimisation and exact profiling tools tailored to your printing processes.
Developed with solutions for CMYK-based digital and conventional processes, as well as multicolour or hybrid set-ups, whatever the colour space of the input file, GMG ColorServer converts it using the maximum gamut of the device. Massive time savings are achieved in data processing thanks to the automated conversion of print data, including multicolour data.
The GMG ColorServer solution means print jobs can be switched easily between presses and sites, with predictable colour results time after time, including matching spot colours and overprints. The award-winning profiling tool, GMG OpenColor, is now built in, which predicts colour results accurately when converting spot colours into a fixed colour palette of e.g. CMYK plus OGV.
And for digital devices, the integrated profiling engine GMG SmartProfiler provides stable print behaviour with no need to change the colour – instead recalibrate to your reference condition quickly and easily.
Additional cost savings come from integrated ink optimisation tailored to digital and conventional processes, which also improves colour quality and press stability due to GMG separation technology. Likewise, those using toner-based devices can reduce the number of clicks by using GMG’s own CMY mode.
GMG ColorServer provides smooth integration into third-party workflow systems via the API interface – ESKO, HYBRID, Enfocus, Kodak and others.
GMG ColorServer benefits:
- Automated colour conversion across different printing technologies, for huge time and material savings
- Colour consistency whether digital, conventional or multicolour
- No need to re-profile when changing substrates
- Centralised colour management that removes approval loops and costly reprints
- Ink optimisation that improves colour quality and stability – typical savings 20%
