Xitron’s Navigator Flexo Suite is a tightly integrated collection of workflow tools designed specifically for use with today’s Flexographic Computer-to-Plate systems. It’s a modular concept that allows the user to create precisely the functionality they require, based on work profile – and it contains a series of flexo-specific tools!
Smart Flexo is a screening module that allows users to screen continuous tone color and separated TIFF files using a technology that vastly improves the quality of flexographic printing. Used in conjunction with the Navigator RIP in the Navigator Flexo Suite, SmartFlexo screening provides precise control over the entire screening process including, separations, angles, scaling, curves, and spot colors.
SmartFlexo is intended to be used as a tool with which users can customize output to match each condition required. SmartFlexo achieves this through features such as SmartDot, which creates non-printing supporting dots for highlight areas, and SmartCell, which creates tiny cells in shadow areas to improve print quality and coverage in solids. This guide will explain how to manipulate these settings according to their needs.
Take total control of your flexo screening needs with SmartFlexo screening. Adjust the settings to optimize results on plate and press by selecting AM to FM change points. Remove pixels from halftone dots and solid areas for better ink coverage with less ink. Maintain dots in hard-to-hold highlight areas with multiple SmartDot choices. Customize the response regardless of plate type.
The first PDF 2.0 compliant RIP available, Navigator’s Harlequin pedigree sets it apart from the competition. Xitron has sold over 35,000 Navigator RIPs around the world due to its consistency, speed, and rendering accuracy. Built-in features include user-defined resolutions up to 9,600 dpi, Harlequin Precision Flexo Screening with selectable dot shapes, and the ColorPro Color Management Module
Intuitive, easy to configure and use, Navigator Workflow is a Client-Server based system. Clients can be installed on Mac and PC workstations throughout the shop and operators can maintain complete control of their jobs from submission to completion. Jobs are added to the workflow through drag & drop, hot folders, or direct print. As the system processes the jobs through each step, operators see the progress in real time. The advanced, Pixel Level Preview adds another level of precision and confidence. Once completed, built-in archiving saves each job for reprint purposes.
Tasked with assembling all your jobs and their various plates, Navigator Plate Controller employs a simple user interface along with drag & drop functionality. Operators select the one-bit TIFF separations from incoming jobs and populate the plate to save as much material as possible. Move, rotate, and add jobs simply by clicking and dragging them into position. Use the Auto Crop button to generate an output image that prevents wasting unused plate areas.
CLOUDFLOW is a web-based application platform tailored for packaging graphics, which SOS recommends as a comprehensive solution for the flexo printer. It is Hybrid’s modular workflow suite for file processing, asset management, soft proofing and workflow automation and has support for PDF, colour separation, trapping, screening, proofing and more.
Modularity and scalability are fundamental characteristics of CLOUDFLOW. You can add and combine a large variety of functional modules for soft proofing, prepress automation, RIPping, screening, job- and order lifecycle management and many more. Multiple Workspaces can be clustered for extra computing power, high availability and multi- location configurations. With CLOUDFLOW´s powerful Share technology, it becomes even possible to link Workspaces across the internet to exchange and synchronize files, data and licenses to optimize their utilization.
CLOUDFLOW is completely built on open standards: it is web-based from the start (HTML5), uses PDF and XML all the way and supports all major industry standards such as CIP3, XMP and many others.
With its ability to run completely in the cloud, CLOUDFLOW offers a reliable platform to master the challenges of digital transformation and Industry 4.0 in the labels and packaging world. By adding the Orchestrator module, it can integrate and interoperate with all contributors, IT services and equipment of the entire value chain from initial order to final delivery by providing flexible interfaces and powerful process engines.
